About the program
12 Week Program Outline
Introduction
The MytoGroup program utilizes a noninvasive and holistic approach to the treatment of Multiple Sclerosis. This program is based on research previously conducted by Dr. Terry Wahls, M.D. The underlying premise of the program is based on providing the necessary building blocks and nutrients to the mitochondria of your cells. Research has suggested that through a properly formulated diet the natural ability of one’s body to bring itself to a normal state is triggered. Implementation of this diet regiment has in some cases resulted in a halt of the progress of Multiple Sclerosis and /or a reversal of the disease as quickly as 6 to 9 months after program initiation.
After examining the research MytoGroup has created a comprehensive 12 week program that is multi-disciplinary in its approach and is supervised by a Medical Doctor. We are conducting a control trial of this program. We are currently accepting applications from patients who are Multiple Sclerosis sufferers and wish to participate in this trial. We will only be selecting ten patient applicants to participate in the initial phase. Those selected will participate in our 12 week program that is based on 3 aspects of transformation:
- Special diet and supplementation
- Psychology of change, examining what’s at stake, what’s important to the participant about having to transform themselves from begin MS sufferer to being MS survivor.
- Emotional Support
Program details
Selected patients will undergo a detail assessment which includes the following:
- Disease status in the form of a comprehensive health assessment questionnaire
- Detailed food journal that chronicles eating behavior over a one week period
- In person or phone interview with Dr. Neel Bector MD to determine patient’s baseline
The MytoGroup clinical team will review the assessment and create a custom plan for the participant. Once the personalized plan is created, participants will be given an appointment at our Mississauga Clinic to review the clinical plan and powerfully set in motion their treatment.
The program contains detailed instructions that must be followed over a 12 week period.
List of supplements that need to be taken (what, how often, when)
Dietary requirements for the week that will be broken down into measurement (e.g. 3 cups of leafy green vegetables) along with delicious recipe ideas to allow for variety.
